Today: Monday 13th of September 2021
A baby was reportedly seen in a dust bin somewhere around Effio Ette junction, Calabar , Cross River State, Nigeria.
At about 7:45am
Our media team went to the scene to confirm how truly it was and came back with a YES and a proofing photograph to back it up.
We really don't know the exact time the baby boy was dumped into the recycling bin but all we notice was group of people gathering there and as at the time we visited, the baby was already lifted up and away from the waist bin trying to be rescured by some good loving and caring mothers.
Curses were being thrown out to the unknown woman as nobody knew who the mother was.
“As a mother, it is devastating for a woman to carry a baby in her womb and after 9 months of the pains of labour, abandoned the child this way to die. We are talking about the life of a human being here ; this is painful for a woman to do this.”
Well the good news is that the baby is alive as sources reportedly told loadedtunetv that the the baby was seen kicking after being rescured by the samaritans who helped by gentlely massaging the boy with warm water using towel and then was rush to the hospital to get medical attention.
I’m concerned because this is a potential that would have been wasted this morning, and we pray that the government of the day will put in place the needed apparatus to curb this menace that has affected the state as a whole.
